How to play Coin Flip Lab

Predict HEADS or TAILS before each flip. Flip the coin, check your prediction and watch the experimental frequency creep closer to the theoretical probability of 1/2. Decode the pattern of chance โ€” then climb the streak ladder.

P(Heads) = 1/2 · P(Tails) = 1/2

Understand Probability by Running Experiments

School students explore chance hands-on before they touch a single textbook formula.

The Probability Challenge is a colourful, interactive way to understand the mathematics of chance. Every mode follows one rule: probability = favourable outcomes ÷ total equally likely outcomes. Fractions are always reduced, impossible events equal 0, certain events equal 1, and a balanced coin, die, spinner or card deck is always presented honestly.

Six labs, one idea

In the Coin Flip Lab students predict each flip, in Dice Master they chase events like even numbers (3/6 = 1/2), numbers greater than 4 (2/6 = 1/3) and prime numbers (3/6 = 1/2), the Lucky Spinner keeps four equal sectors so P(each) = 1/4, and Card Probability works with a real 52-card model (26 red, 26 black, 4 aces, 12 face cards) where every card is returned to the deck, so the theoretical probability never changes. The Probability Quiz covers impossible, unlikely, equally likely, likely and certain events, and the Mixed Challenge combines everything and grows harder as your score climbs.

Experiments, not luck

The live Experiments Dashboard records every coin flip, dice roll, spin and card draw. It shows observed counts, experimental frequency, theoretical probability and a bar chart that updates after every trial โ€” making it clear that small samples can wander from theory, while large samples converge to it. Streak bonuses, difficulty bonuses and achievements such as First Prediction, Five Correct, Probability Pro and Experiment Master keep every session motivating.

Probability is introduced in the Class 8 Maths and deepened in Class 9 Maths and Class 10 Maths curriculum areas. Pair the game with our free CBSE study material or explore the other Maths games we have built for students.
